Eye Day Care Centre at Taki, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal.

To treat the poor people of Sundarbans against major eye related diseases, an Eye Day Care Hospital named as “DIGHIR ABHISHEK CHOKSHU SEVA KENDRA” has been constructed at Taki, gateway of Sundarbans.

Our eye hospital is constructed over approximately 6000 Sq. feet area having license No. 33726908 dated 12.03.2021, from Dept. of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal.

It isa “Not for Profit” initiative by Dighir Ganguly Foundation Trust and Taki Netraloke Eye Collection Centre. Taki Netraloke Eye Collection Centre runs the entire operation /administration of the eye hospital whereas Dighir Ganguly Foundation Trust provides all kinds of financial assistance to run the Hospital.

Through this Eye Hospital we are providing high quality medical aid for critical eye ailments to the poor people of Sundarbans through OPD, by prominent eye specialist from Kolkata with the help of state-of-the-art ophthalmic instruments. We started our OPD services since 29th September, 2019. On an average, every month 500-600 poor patients avail our OPD services by paying a token registration fee of Rs. 50/- only.

Our hospital has 10 beds and a very modern Operation Theatre with latest Phaco Machine, Surgical Microscope and associated ophthalmic instruments for Cataract operation.

Our prime objective is to carry out free cataract operation for poor people of Sundarbans through this eye hospital.
